Fast pyrolysis of agroindustrial wastes blends: Hydrocarbon production enhancement

چکیده

Fast pyrolysis of waste from agroindustry may be an alternative choice for sustainable use enhanced biofuels. Plastics are one option improving the hydrogen to carbon efficiency ratio (H/Ceff) biomass feedstock. Waste in blends with could modify reaction mechanism removing oxygen by substituting decarbonylation and decarboxylation dehydration. Firstly, fast was performed find optimal mass blending olive pomace (OP) agroindustrial polymers (polyethylene (PE), polystyrenes (PS) polyvinyl chloride (PVC)) according hydrocarbon production. Experimental results 1.5:1 OP/PE, 1:1.5 OP/PS OP/PVC ratios at 500 °C, showed synergistic enhancement yields. Alkenes yield were where light hydrocarbons fraction (C6-C10) first increased then decreased temperature, reaching a maximum 650 °C. For OP/PVC, it improved aromatic compounds formation, being °C temperature former later, respectively. Benzene, toluene xylene large quantities obtained PS PVC OP. Additionally, effect on did not show any clear trend pyrolytic gas emissions. In general, as increased, CO CO2 emissions fell CH4 enhanced. Finally, olefin yields promoted higher H/Ceff.

Selection of Microorganisms for Biosurfactant Production Using Agroindustrial Wastes

Biosurfactant production by some bacterial isolates using molasses, milk whey and cassava flour wastewater (manipueira) as substrates was evaluated and compared with the production in conventional medium. Isolates growing in manipueira medium decreased the surface tension around 42%, the highest reduction among all the substrates tested. From the eleven isolates tested, eight were able to decre...

Lignocellulolytic enzyme production of Pleurotus ostreatus growth in agroindustrial wastes

The mushroom Pleurotus ostreatus has nutritional and medicinal characteristics that depend on the growth substrate. In nature, this fungus grows on dead wood, but it can be artificially cultivated on agricultural wastes (coffee husks, eucalyptus sawdust, corncobs and sugar cane bagasse). The degradation of agricultural wastes involves some enzyme complexes made up of oxidative (laccase, mangane...

Pyrolysis Characteristics and Kinetics of Food Wastes

Pyrolysis is an environmental friendly alternative method compared with incineration, and the least time-consuming and smallest infrastructure footprint method compared with bio-chemical and thermo-chemical conversion. Baseline data for the pyrolysis of food waste was obtained in a kinetic study of the thermal decompositions by thermogravimetric analysis. To simulate the difference in the types...
